    FEMA disaster recovery center opens in Anderson Co.

    ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – More Disaster Recovery Centers are beginning to open in the state to provide in-person assistance to those affected by Hurricane Helene.

    A Disaster Recovery Center will open in Anderson County on Monday and will remain open temporarily until Thursday, Oct. 17.

    The center will be located at the Anderson County Library, 300 N McDuffie Street. It will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

    Aiken County will also have a center, opening on Monday until Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. It will be located at 135 Edgefield Road in North Augusta.

    Greenville County welcomed a disaster relief center on Friday that is open daily from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

    Other centers in the state:

    • Barnwell Regional Airport, 155 State Road S-6-398, Barnwell
      • Oct. 13 through 15, from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
    • Batesburg-Leesville Fire Station, 537 W. Church Street, Batesburg
      • Open Oct. 13 through 16, from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
