    Pedestrian hit, killed by trailer in Greenville Co.

    GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash Wednesday morning in Greenville County.

    The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said the crash occurred around 8 a.m. on Poinsett Highway near Clayton Avenue. Investigators said the pedestrian was hit by a trailer being pulled by a vehicle.

    The pedestrian died on the scene according to the coroner.

    The victim’s identity has not been revealed at this time.

    An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death has been scheduled for Thursday.

    The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office.

    How did they get hit by a trailer? Did the driver back up over them?

    Sad and avoidable. People need to stop walking in front (or behind) of vehiclesBe CAREFUL/Cautious. The drivers are victims too (granted they're alive, but I would hate to have to live with killing someone).
