HSRZ: Week 8 Plays of the Week

(WSPA) – Region play is in full swing as high school football players around the Upstate show off some pretty remarkable moves under the lights.

You can catch a full recap of the action and a look ahead to Friday night matchups on the High School Red Zone Review Preview show every Thursday at 8 p.m. right here on wspa.com.

PLAY #5: ST. JOE’S KNIGHTS

St. Joe’s quarterback Cade Alt puts it up and Paul Norman comes down with a great catch in the Knights 14-7 win over Christ Church.

PLAY #4: DORMAN CAVALIERS

Kentavion Anderson shows up for the Cavaliers special teams with a blocked punt in Dorman’s 58-0 shutout over the Wade Hampton Generals.

PLAY #3: MAULDIN MAVERICKS

Down goes the ice bucket, and Mauldin’s winless streak, as the Mavs make it two straight victories in a home game against Greenville.

PLAY #2: CLINTON RED DEVILS

Clinton’s Shawn Richardson delivers a pass to Chris Boyd who makes a spectacular one-hand grab to come down with it in the Red Devils’ 56-22 win over Landrum.

PLAY #1: MVP STARS

MVP’s Bryson Drummond let’s it fly and KD Hainsworth does the rest with a masterful one-hand grab over two defenders before taking it into the endzone as the Stars improve to 6-0.
