Business fire investigation underway in Spartanburg Co.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Spartanburg County officials said firefighters are investigating a business fire Wednesday morning.

The Westview-Fairforest Fire Department confirmed with 7NEWS that multiple agencies responded before 7 a.m. to Siemens Energy & Automation Inc. located on Old Georgia Road in regard to the incident.

South Spartanburg Fire District Captain Brandon Crook said the fire was quickly contained and no injuries were reported.

“When crews arrived they met with maintenance personnel already outside. They went inside the facility, and they found a machine that had a small fire inside the machine,” Crook said.

Details as to what has led to the fire have not been released at this time.

The fire remains under investigation by the South Spartanburg Fire District.
