    Get ready to rock, move, and groove this summer. Here are seven ways to fill your days with free live music outdoors in the Twin City.

    Coalpit Live Music Series , The Coalpit, 486 N. Patterson Ave. | Certain Saturdays, June 1-Oct. 26 | 6-10 p.m. | Possum Jenkins kicks off the 2024 season at the outdoor music venue in Innovation Quarter.

    Downtown Jazz , Corpening Plaza, 237 W. 1st St. | Certain Fridays, June 21-Aug. 30 | 6:30-9:30 p.m. | Unwind from the work week with melodies from jazz musicians like Eric Essix and Althea Rene.

    Music in Merschel Park , 122 W. 4th St. | Fridays through at least June 28 (future dates TBA) | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Bring your lunch and find a spot in the city’s center to hear from musicians from The CMPND .

    Parks Concert Series , various venues | Certain Sundays through Oct. 20 | 2-5 p.m. | Bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an afternoon of family fun in venues around Forsyth County.

    Picnic in the Park , Bailey Park, 445 Patterson Ave. | Certain Wednesdays + Saturdays through Oct. 9 | 6-8 p.m. | Bring a blanket, pack your own dinner or buy food on site and hear from local and regional musicians.

    Salem Band Summer Concert Series , Salem Square, 69 S. Main St. | Certain Tuesdays through Aug. 6 (except Thursday, July 4) | 7:30 p.m. | Hear the oldest continuous mixed wind ensemble in the US perform themed repertoires.

    Summer on Fourth , 638 W. 4th St. (in front of Foothills Brewing) | Certain Saturdays, June 15-Sept. 7 | 7-10 p.m. | Dance in the street to tunes from bands like West End Mambo and Vagabond Saints’ Society.
