GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — It’s my first time truly experiencing the New York State Fair. After being at the Fairgrounds for the last two days, I’ve had a chance to navigate the grounds and check out some of the hotspots.

My first stop today was the Dairy Building. I know the Milk Bar is a huge hit every year. So, I got myself two shots of calcium.

I got a shot of regular milk and chocolate milk. I’m more of a plain milk fan rather than chocolate. I know that’s unusual. It tasted like normal milk, nothing out of the ordinary. The chocolate milk is definitely better. It didn’t taste too sweet or chocolatey.

Anytime I come to a fair, I have to check out the animals because I’m an animal lover. I met a few llamas today. One was named Showstopper Jr., and he is training to be a therapy animal. It’s not every day you get to meet a celebrity like Showstopper’s neighbor.

His neighbor is J. You might recognize him. He went viral in 2023 for attending a wedding dressed as a groomsman. He had to get away from the spotlight, so he chose to visit the New York State Fair.

After walking around the Fairgrounds for a few hours, I worked up quite an appetite. You can’t go to the New York State Fair without getting an Italian sausage sandwich, and I loved every bite of it. A delicious end to my first day at the New York State Fair.
