(WSYR-TV) — We love to highlight local musical talent on Bridge Street. That’s exactly what we did this morning by welcoming local men’s competitive a Capella group Harmonic Collective to the show.

Harmonic Collective is a semi-new and award-winning group of singers in the area comprised of members with varying musical experience. The chorus started in 2017 and has been performing and competing around CNY and across the US and Canada ever since. They just recently performed in the 2024 International Barbershop Harmony competition in Cleveland.

Today, they took some time to perform for us here on Bridge Street.

Singers range from professional musicians and music educators/students to amateur vocalists just getting back into singing after taking time off after high school or collegiate singing.

Members Keith Edwards, Sagan Harris and Michael Perry told us that the pandemic decimated lots of local singing groups, so they are tasking themselves with the mission to find more members. All ages are welcome. They even have four sets of father-son pairs in the chorus.

There is an audition process to join the group, but members say they will help you through it and to make sure you are prepared and comfortable for your audition.

The group is currently preparing for their holiday show season. They’re set to perform at Syracuse University’s Horns & Harmonies on Dec. 15. They are also going to be hosting their own show on Dec. 21 at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church.

Though they have a busy schedule during the holiday season, they still rehearse and perform all year round. Harmonic Collective is currently welcoming new singers to join them for Guest Nights every Sunday in October from 5 to 8 p.m. in Liverpool.
