(WSYR-TV) — Erik and Iris chat about the biggest story overnight in Central New York: the Northern Lights!

Viewers across the area shared their photos and videos of the Aurora Borealis with us, showcasing the natural wonders of the phenomenon.

The lights may have been hard to see for some, especially due to light pollution and cloud coverage. Thankfully, our meteorologists say there may be a chance to see the Northern Lights again tonight. Keep your eyes open!

While that was going on outside, there was also MLB Baseball to be watched in addition. Erik’s Detroit Tigers couldn’t pull off the win, but they have one more shot against the Cleveland Guardians to see if they can move on to the next round.

As for the New York Yankees (and New York Mets), things are looking bright. Both teams are on to the next round of the playoffs, making lots of Central New Yorkers quite happy.
