Which weekend day ends up better weather-wise?

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – We warmed things up nicely with more sunshine on Friday. Will the sun and milder temperatures last through the weekend? Find out below…

Showers overnight?

After a quiet Friday, most spots will stay dry overnight. However, as a moisture-starved cold front slides through the region, there will be some more clouds and the potential for a spotty shower or two.

Lows tonight will not be nearly as chilly as last night, ranging from the upper-40s to mid-50s thanks to an increase in clouds and a steady breeze.

Split weekend

The holiday weekend starts out nice with some wind, sunshine and seasonably cool air as highs reach the low 60s Saturday. It is hands down the best day of the weekend.

Unfortunately, an area of low pressure will likely spin up south of the region on Sunday that probably leaves us with some periods of rain and a chilly high between 50 and 55.

Columbus/Indigenous Peoples’ Day through midweek also looks unsettled with wind, unseasonably chilly air within a few degrees of 50, and some rain and higher terrain snow/mixed showers!
