    Jefferson Co. man stabbed with kitchen knife during domestic dispute

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) -A pair of people from Watertown are facing charges following a domestic incident that saw one person allegedly stabbed.

    According to Watertown Police, 19-year-old Timothy Kims allegedly took a cell phone belonging to 20-year-old Promiss Lajoie from her hand and threw it against the wall of her East Main Street Apartment. A section of drywall was allegedly damaged from the cell phone hitting the wall.

    Accident on Watertown’s Public Square causes backups

    Kims also allegedly put his hand over Lajoie’s mouth and nose and applied pressure to her. According to police, she felt like she was drowning.

    Lajoie is also accused of stabbing Kims in the leg with a kitchen knife during the altercation. The wound required medical attention, according to police.

    Kims received charges of criminal obstruction of breathing and two counts of criminal mischief.

    Lajoie is facing charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
