TRAFFIC: Road closure for East Seneca Turnpike

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) —  The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is letting drivers know that on Friday, Oct. 18  beginning at 7 p.m. East Seneca Turnpike (State Route 173) will be closed to traffic between South Salina Street and East Brighton Avenue in the City of Syracuse.

NYSDOT said closure will last until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 and that the closure is to facilitate the erection of steel for the I-81 North bridge over East Seneca Turnpike as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project.

During the closure, drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs.
