Fort Drum man facing strangulation charges after alleged domestic incident

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 19-year-old Fort Drum man is facing strangulation charges after an alleged domestic incident earlier in the summer at a Watertown motel.

Watertown Police charged Alexander Lavigne with second-degree strangulation after he allegedly applied pressure to the alleged victim’s neck at the Travelodge on Arsenal Street.

The alleged victim also lost consciousness from the incident, which occurred in August.

Lavigne was arrested on Thursday and charged for the incident.
