    PennDOT announces maintenance projects in Elk County

    ELK COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced a series of maintenance activities in Elk County for the week of April 15.

    Below the full list of maintenance work, locations and dates can be found.

    • Route 219 in Ridgway and Horton townships. Monday, April 15, and Tuesday, April 16.
    • Route 255 in the City of St. Marys, Jay and Fox townships. Monday, April 15, and Tuesday, April 16.
    • Route 2003 (Toby Road) in Horton Township. Monday, April 15, through Wednesday, April 17.
    • Route 2011 (Brandy Camp Road) in Horton Township. Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17.
    • Route 948 in Ridgway Borough, Fox, Highland, and Ridgway townships. Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18.
    • Route 120 in the City of St. Marys and Ridgway Borough. Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18.
    • Route 2010 (Eshbach Road) in the City of St. Marys. Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18
    • Route 1005 in (Theresia Street) in the City St. Marys. Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18.
    • Route 1003 (Washington Street) in the City of St. Marys. Wednesday, April 17 through Friday, April 19.
    • Route 1001 (Windfall Road/Glenn Hazel Road) in the City of St. Marys and Jones Township. Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19.

    Drivers should expect flaggers to be in the roadways to provide traffic control during daylight hours for each project.

    PennDOT encourages motorists to “Know Before They Go” by checking conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com , downloading the 511 Android or iPhone app, or by calling 5-1-1.

    511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
