Milesburg borough council facing potential lawsuit

MILESBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) – Milesburg’s Borough Council has changed a lot over the course of 2024, and not all residents are happy with the result of one individual’s intent to file a civil lawsuit.

Bryce Taylor announced on Facebook Monday that he is taking legal action against the council. He cited violations of PA Borough Code and the Sunshine Act as the reasons for his suit.

Milesburg’s Solicitor Tracey Benson said that he was aware that a resident filed a Writ of Summons the week of May 5, but had no comment on the details of the complaint.

In his post, Taylor said that he plans to represent the case in court himself. He also said that all of the costs incurred by the suit have been taken out of his own pocket. He said he does not want to be the cause of turmoil in the community, but also wants to stand up against the injustice of the council.
