BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — An Altoona man is facing felony charges after allegedly giving a minor marijuana and then proceeding to sexually assault her.

Bryant Davis, 36, was charged after police were called to a residence of the 600 block of 27th Street on April 18. When police arrived, they were met by the 14-year-old and her mother.

The mother told police that the victim had walked to Sheetz and when she hadn’t returned, her mother checked her location on her phone. The teens location allegedly showed her to be at Davis’s apartment on 26th street. The mother then went knocking and asking if anyone had seen her daughter, to which Davis allegedly denied, according to the criminal complaint.

When the victim returned back home, her mother told police that she allegedly smelled of marijuana. The two then walked back to Davis’s apartment and when he saw the two of them, he allegedly slammed the door.

When speaking with the victim, she told police that while she was walking to Sheetz, Davis started making comments that she was “beautiful” and “bad,” the complaint reads. She said that she had seen “blunts” in Davis’s pocket and asked if he smoked, to which he allegedly responded yes to and then proceeded to invite her back to his apartment.

After the two had smoked marijuana, the victim claimed that Davis allegedly said that he wanted to make her feel good and took off her shorts and underwear, police noted in the complaint. She said that Davis performed sexual acts on her and then told her she had to leave because someone had come knocking and looking for her.

On April 19, police obtained and executed a search warrant on Davis’s apartment. During the search, police seized marijuana and some money. Later that same day, Davis allegedly texted the victim a photo of him. Police were able to confirm that the background in the photo matched the apartment that they were in earlier that day.

Davis is now facing felony charges of indecent sexual assault of a person less than 16, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with minors, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. He is also facing two misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently in the Blair County Prison after being unable to post his $150,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 21.
