Saint Francis announces 2024-2025 men’s basketball schedule

LORETTO Pa (WTAJ) — Saint Francis announced its men’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season. The Red Flash will play 30 contests, 13 of which will be at home in head coach Rob Kimmel’s 13th year leading the program.

The Red Flash will begin the season on the road with six of their first seven contests being played away from DeGol Arena. They will open their 129th season on the road at Dayton while their home opener will be on November 20 against Penn State Schuylkill.

“After a productive summer, I am looking forward to competing with this group as we prepare for a challenging start to the 2024-2025 season,” said Krimmel. “Our guys will be tested throughout the non-conference portion of our schedule especially early as we head on the road for five straight games. We will be prepared as we enter a new look NEC schedule and work towards a run at an NEC Championship.”

This will be the first time under Krimmel where the Red Flash will play four teams from the Power 5 conferences, which will be highlighted by a matchup against Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center. It will be the second straight season the Red Flash play the Nittany Lions.

Saint Francis will begin conference play against Central Connecticut State University at home on January 3.

Last year the Red Flash struggled and finished the season 8-22.
