SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Somerset County woman has been accused of pouring gasoline and lighting a vehicle on fire in Addison Township.

Stacy Tressler, 42, of Confluence was charged after she allegedly lit a vehicle on fire after her husband asked for a divorce, according to Pennsylvania State Police. On Aug. 6, officers were called to the 100 block of Lower Listonburg Road for a report of an arson.

Police said they arrived on scene and found Tressler and her husband were having an argument. Tressler told police that she had gone to a bar to drink and left after she was told her husband was coming to the same bar. Once she left she found his work truck in the driveway.

Police interviewed Tressler and she allegedly admitted to pouring gasoline on her husband’s work vehicle after he asked for a divorce.

Tressler then allegedly used a lighter to start the fire. She told police that she attempted to distinguish it, but was unable to do so.

Police noted in the report that the vehicle was burned to the extent that the Addison Township Fire Department had to be called. After the fire was extinguished, the vehicle was no longer operable.

Tressler is facing a felony charge of reckless burning of a vehicle.
