BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) – Penn Highlands Community College has officially opened its latest location, and it is their first in Centre County.

Located on the second floor of the Match Factory in Bellefonte, the new facility features three classrooms, a computer lab, faculty offices and a student lounge.

Getting to Centre County was a plan eight years in the making, and Commissioner Chair Mark Higgins says it is thanks to one key element.

“It’s amazing because of teamwork,” Higgins said.

The classes currently available are English, history, math and psychology. Looking ahead, Penn Highlands says it wants to continue serving the community and providing students with quality education for an affordable price.
