Giant Eagle is selling off every GetGo location in Pennsylvania, other states

(WTAJ) — Giant Eagle is selling off every GetGo convenience store/gas station in an attempt to focus on the core of their brand.

The company announced the sale of the chain of convenience stores to Couche-Tard, an international company in the convenience store and fuel industry.

While the sale isn’t expected to be complete until 2025, Giant Eagle said you’ll still be able to use your MyPerks rewards at all stores.

“GetGo stores will continue to operate as part of Giant Eagle until the transaction closes. Following close, Couche-Tard and Giant Eagle have agreed to keep and partner together on the myPerks loyalty program across Giant Eagle and GetGo locations, while exploring opportunities to expand the program to unlock even more value and discounts for our customers,” Giant Eagle said in a release.

The company added that Couche-Tard will keep the stores running and plans to retain all dedicated store employees.

Over the years, Giant Eagle has expanded with GetGo locations. The company said the sale of the convenience store will help them focus on the core of their company, grocery and pharmacy, to bolster their regional brand.
