(WTAJ) — As a new school year begins for many students across Central PA, we thought it would be a great idea to go back in time to when our team did the same.

We asked our team to dig through their school yearbooks and call their parents to find their best school photos.

So, put on your bookbags and pack your lunches because WTAJ is going back to school!

I used to write plays, sometimes even musicals, for my siblings to act out. I would even create programs, and tickets and give snacks for when my parents would come watch. I won the Florida 4-H Public Speaking Contest and loved playing soccer.

As a kid, I always wanted to be a TV broadcaster. I loved having hobbies like basketball, golf and playing guitar.

This is my first-grade school photo. That year, I lost both my two front teeth, hence the lack of smile in the picture. I attended Conrad Weiser Elementary School in Berks County. My favorite thing to do after school was Cheerleading!

My fave subject in school was spelling and my childhood career goal was to be a veterinarian. I realized I wasn’t cut out for it when I’d start crying just seeing an animal limp. My fave lunch to bring was a cheese hot pocket.

I used to make home videos on my Flip, a phone-sized video camera where I would record my daily happenings and film skits with my friends. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be in front of the camera, but I also knew that I wanted to do things behind it, too. I grew up wanting to be a Sports Broadcaster and my favorite hobby growing up was making YouTube videos.

My mom snapped this photo of me heading off to fifth-grade. This was an exciting time in my life because it was 2006, my little sister was about to be born and I was about to get my braces on! I remember nights of sleepovers with my friends, shopping at Limited Too, and listening to Gwen Stefani on repeat!

This was taken on my first day of school. I went to Trough Creek Elementary which closed two years after I left. My teachers were the best.

This is from my first day of Kindergarten in 2004. Before I reported sports to Central PA, I used to give mini sports reports to my third-grade class after the morning announcements! My grandma used to watch me as a child at the dry cleaners, where a current WTAJ evening anchor (aka Marty) used to frequently visit.

This is me on my first day of kindergarten at Martinsburg Elementary School, part of the Spring Cove School District. My favorite subject in school was writing and I was a percussionist in our school band. I took speech therapy the whole way through both elementary and middle school and without it, I may not be doing the job I do today. I grew up watching WTAJ and interned here after my freshman year of college.

I have always loved sports and since I couldn’t play any of them well, I spent my high school years as the Public Address announcer for them instead.

When I was younger, I used to have bright blue eyes but over time they changed into the green they are now.

This photo was taken the summer before I entered Pre-K. Although it wasn’t the first day of school, you can see how excited I was to learn. My hobbies were singing & dancing/and bothering my older sister.

This is my school photo from 2010. I wanted to be a professional soccer player when I was little.

This former teacher’s pet got involved with many different school clubs like theater, sports, and public speaking competitions. It all helped me strive to be a reporter for the news one day.
