    Johnstown to host Sandyvale Wine Experience

    JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Sandyvale Wine Experience will be celebrating its 11th annual wine festival event.

    This two day event kicks off on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. with a “Wine and Chocolate Feast Wine Pairing Dinner” at the Sandyvale Memorial Gardens and Conservancy, located at 80 Hickory Street. The wine dinner will be catered by the Balance Restaurant.

    Guests should expect an “exclusive and unique” four course played meal paired with exclusive wines from renowned vintners in the California and Portugal regions. The menu will feature fresh produce and herbs grown in the Sandyvale greenhouse as well.

    There are a limited number of tickets available for the dinner. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here , with individual prices at $110 and a table of eight at $100 per person.

    On Saturday, guests are welcome to enjoy the wine festival from 2-7 p.m. A wine festival ticket gets guests a free glass upon entry and free samplings from 19 of Pennsylvania’s wineries and distilleries as well as craft beers. There will also be craft vendors, food and live music throughout the day, with musicians Kenny Blake Trio and George Byich on acoustic guitar.

    Bottles of wine are also available for purchase. Festival advance tickets can be found by clicking here or by visiting the Johnstown office on 416 Main Street. Two or more festival tickets are priced at $25 each and individual tickets are priced at $30. Sandyvale is also offering VIP tickets, which allow entry to the festival at 1 p.m., priced at $50.

    Designated driver tickets will also be available at the gate for $10. A driver’s license or photo ID must be presented at the gate upon entry.
