    Johnstown woman pleads guilty to drug trafficking

    JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Johnstown resident pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday for drug trafficking.

    Amanda Weidner, 40, pleaded guilty to Count One of the Superseding Indictment for violating the federal narcotics law.

    In a release from the Department of Justice, Weidner is accused of possessing and distributing heroin and cocaine between February 2021 to June 2021. Weidner was intercepted on a federal wiretap obtaining quantities of the drugs that she was selling to others.

    Judge Kim Gibson is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 7, 2025. The law provides for a total sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million or both.
