    Vacant homes in Somerset County damaged by fires

    SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A pair of vacant homes in northern Somerset County were hit by fires over the weekend.

    According to our media partners at the Tribune-Democrat , one of the fires involved a vacant structure just before midnight Saturday near Boswell and the other gutted a Conemaugh Township residence on Edgar Croyle Road.

    Jerome fire officials could not be reached for comment Sunday, but Somerset County 911 officials said fire companies from Somerset and Cambria counties assisted at the Edgar Croyle Road scene. The fire was reported at 4:32  a.m. Sunday, according to 911 officials.

    Late Saturday night, at 11:35  p.m., fire crews, EMS and police were sent to a vacant structure at the intersection of Shady Hollow Lane and Wigstrom Road near Boswell. No injuries were reported, 911 officials said.
