    Confirmed: Tornado touches down in Blair County

    BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The National Weather Service (NWS) out of State College confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down Thursday afternoon.

    The tornado touched down in the Roaring Spring area Aug. 29 at 4:17 p.m. with estimated peak winds of 95 miles per hour.

    The NWS said it lasted three minutes, had a max width of 100 yards, and traveled 0.81 miles on the ground.

    No injuries or deaths were reported.
