    Tornado confirmed in Somerset County Saturday

    SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The National Weather Service (NWS) out of State College confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down Saturday afternoon.

    The tornado touched down in the Greenville Township area Aug. 31 at 3:33 p.m. with estimated peak winds of 85 miles per hour.

    The NWS said it didn’t last long and only made it a tenth of a mile with a max width of 50 yards.

    No injuries or deaths were reported.
