BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — More than a year after a man’s drug overdose death, a Saxton woman is facing charges for allegedly supplying the deadly drug mixture.

Jada Putt, 42, is facing felony charges including drug delivery resulting in death after a man was found dead in February 2023.

State troopers said they were called to investigate a death in Feb. 2023 on Brook Road in Wood Township where Ricky Winfield was found on his bedroom floor by his wife, unresponsive, according to the criminal complaint.

An autopsy and lab work later revealed that Winfield died from an overdose of methamphetamine and fentanyl, the complaint reads.

Through investigation and search warrants, detectives were able to trace various Facebook messages between Winfield and the name “Justin Kase” back to Putt. Although using an alias on Facebook, troopers noted in the complaint that Putt and “Justin Kase” had the same birthday and the profile also listed Putt’s maiden name.

Troopers said in the complaint that messages between the two included things such as “Any D?” which they say is code for drugs. Messages then turned into a conversation about money.

In the complaint, troopers noted that they issued a search warrant to Google on an email associated with the “Justin Kase” Facebook. Results revealed that the name Jada Putt was associated with the “Justin Kase” Gmail account.
