SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Locals have started planning ahead as the possibility of solar farms in Somerset Township grows near.

Somerset Township board officials said a New Jersey company has been working through the permit process to develop a farm on two acres of land near Highland Farm Road, according to WTAJ partners at the Tribune-Democrat .

“This is going to assist any developers on what they’d need to do to build (a solar farm),” Somerset Township Supervisor Don Miller said in an interview earlier this month.
