UPDATE: ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Contrary to a post that was made on social media, a Blair County business will not be closing.

A post on Johnny’s U Pull It Facebook page announcing its closure has been removed.

WTAJ has reached out to the owners for comment.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Blair County business took to social media to announce they are closed — for good.

The company, Johnny’s U Pull It , has been around for decades. People across the area could go for auto parts and take them from the numerous cars on their property, saving mechanics and DIY fixers hundreds of dollars and a lot of time hunting down older car parts.

They took to their Facebook and posted about the closure. Numerous people were quick to react with positive and negative comments.

Some said they were saddened to lose Johnny’s while others stated that in the past couple of years, it wasn’t worth going.

The reason behind Johnny’s U Pull It deciding to close up shop isn’t known at this time.
