(WTAJ) — The American Red Cross announced that there is a critical call for blood and platelets.

This month, the American Red Cross is working to stress the critical need for blood products so that it can ensure patient care. Donors of all blood types are asked to give as soon as possible to keep blood supply levels rising after a summer shortage.
