    Car hits gas meter in Tyrone, causing gas leak

    TYRONE, Pa. (WTAJ) — A car that struck a gas meter on Monday caused a gas leak in Tyrone.

    According to the chief of the Neptune Fire Company, a car that was heading from Bellwood towards Tyrone struck a gas meter on the side of someone’s home. The accident caused a leak.

    The chief was unable to say if anyone was hurt or if there was any damage.

    A WTAJ crew member on scene confirmed that East Pleasant Valley Boulevard was blocked off from the Village Pantry in Tyrone to Joe’s Pizzeria in Tipton for a period of time.
