    One dead after being trapped in truck fire following Jefferson County crash

    JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One person was pronounced dead after crashing their truck and being trapped as it caught fire, Pennsylvania State Police report.

    Troopers were dispatched to Route 322 in Winslow Township just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18. Investigators determined that a driver, who has not been identified, was traveling west when they left the roadway for unknown reasons.

    The Ford F-150XLT they were driving hit a tree before overturning and catching fire. Troopers said the driver was trapped in the truck.

    The Jefferson County Coroner was called when the driver succumbed to their injuries.
