CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — An EMS service in Centre County received state funding to help pay for a new ambulance.

Centre LifeLink EMS acquired $175,000 to offset the cost of the new vehicle which totals over $260,000. The ambulance will replace one from 2009 that was used for 15 years.

The service has seven ambulances that are used to respond to an average of 20 calls per day, according to Centre LifeLink. One ambulance at the service needs to be replaced each year.
