Job Fair set to bring over 100 employers to Blair County

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — More than 100 employers will gather at the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona next month, ready to hire for a variety of positions across multiple industries.

The event, hosted by PA CareerLink Blair County, promises to be one of the largest job fairs in the region, offering opportunities for job seekers at all stages of their careers.

The fair is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. Veterans will receive exclusive early access starting at 9:30 a.m. as a thank you for their service. Employers from healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and retail industries will be present, many conducting on-the-spot interviews.

“Employers are excited to meet local job seekers and fill critical roles,” Gwen Fisher, PA CareerLink administrator said. She encouraged anyone seeking a fresh start or new opportunity to attend.

In preparation, job seekers can attend free workshops on “How to Be Your Best at a Job Fair” offered on Sept. 20, 26, and Oct. 2.
