ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A special assembly at Penn-Lincoln Elementary School promises an exciting surprise for students and staff on Wednesday, as Stuckey Subaru plans to unveil a significant donation to support classrooms.

The event, part of Subaru’s “Loves Learning” initiative, will see the local dealership present both a check and essential school supplies to the school as part of a broader campaign to assist high-needs schools. Subaru has partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org to provide teachers with the resources they need to support student’s education.

Set for 9:45 a.m., the assembly is expected to draw the participation of school officials, including Principle Jeffrey Guyer, along with representatives from Stuckey Subaru and Subaru of America. Stuckey Subaru President Matt Stuckey will be on hand to present the donation.

The initiative comes at a crucial time, as many classrooms across the nation face recourse shortages, with teachers often using personal funds to fill the gap. According to Subaru, 92% of high-needs schools experience this challenge.
