STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Goodwill of North Central Pennsylvania has a new donation center in State College that is now open.

The new location is located at 101 Hawbaker Industrial Drive. With the grand opening of the new donation center Goodwill had a ribbon cutting along with public tours.

“We’ve been trying to get into the State College community and moving around on a different community is a lot more. This is such a big impact for us and we’re very, very excited to be here,” Vice-President of Donation Procurement & Development Nickolas Suplizio said.

Goodwill is one of Pennsylvania’s largest recyclers. Over 5 million pounds of sellable and recyclable items are diverted from landfills every year.

“We want people to donate, donate here for us. Donate your books, donate your household items. This is the idea and this is what we want. We don’t want things going in the trash. We want people to drop it off,” Suplizio said.
