Geisinger to hand out free military dinners across Pennsylvania

(WTAJ) — Geisinger has announced that to show thanks to veterans they’ll be handing out free drive-through appreciation dinners.

They’ll be handing out meals across the state , including at their State College location, on Thursday, Nov. 7. The free dinners will be given to U.S. military veterans and a guest.

Here’s when and where they’ll be handing out meals:

Geisinger Healthplex State College (132 Abigail Lane)

• Meals will be handed out from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital (549 Fair Street)

• Meals will be given out at the main entrance from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Multi-Specialty Clinic Danville (35 Justin Drive)

• Meals will be handed out at building 2 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital (1020 Thompson Street)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (400 Highland Avenue)

• Meals will be handed out at the third-floor entrance from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Family Health Associates Mifflintown- (27 CJEMS Lane)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Medical Center Muncy (255 Route 220 Highway)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Healthplex CenterPoint (1201 Oak Street)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Scranton: Nay Aug Park (500 Arthur Avenue)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital (4200 Hospital Road)

• Meals will be handed out from 3 to 5 p.m.

Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre (50 Roosevelt Terrace)

• Meals will be handed out behind the hospital from 3 to 5 p.m.

The meals are limited and you’re encouraged to make a reservation on the Geisinger website or by calling 570-293-7200. The deadline to register is Friday, Nov. 1.

During the 2023 event, staff and volunteers handed out roughly 2,900 meals.
