    Police Reports: Altoona residents face charges of theft, DUI, aggravated assault

    ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Logan Township police released a slew of police reports that involve charges such as theft, driving under the influence and aggravated assault, to name a few.

    Police released more than a dozen reports this weekend that include retail theft at Lowe’s and aggravated assault with a vehicle.

    — Most notably, Robert Pope Jr. , 24, of Altoona, was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun on someone in a Sheetz parking lot (Old 6th Avenue) while intoxicated.

    — Matthew Longsinger, 38, of Altoona, was charged in July for allegedly hitting a garbage truck before driving into a fence at a Penelec station along North 8th Street and 6th Avenue. Police said his blood alcohol was over 0.08.

    — Zeth Keller, 24, of Altoona, was hit with theft and access device fraud charges after Burgmeier’s Hauling called police about a former employee using the company fuel credit card without permission.

    — Dylan Singer, 25, of Smithmill, was charged with unlawful dissemination of intimate photos after two people reported uploaded nude photos of them on a website.

    — Danny Tallie, 54, of Altoona, was charged with retail theft after Logan Township police were called to Lowe’s on McMahon Drive about a theft in August. In Sept. police said he was also pulled over for suspicion of DUI and ultimately took a breathalyzer and was over 0.08.

    — Sean Buckmaster, 49, of Altoona, was also charged with retail theft after police were called to Lowe’s. Buckmaster was later found to be stealing from motor vehicles, which police said he admitted to the theft.

    — Jakob Dastrup-Curry, of Duncansville, was said to be driving over the legal limit of alcohol on Sept. 11, on Pleasant Valley Blvd.

    — Matthew Roscia, 46, of Altoona, was reportedly found unresponsive in a vehicle along Old 6th Avenue. Witnesses said they had to wake him up and force him to move the vehicle from the roadway. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

    William Hatfield III , 40, of Altoona, was arrested for allegedly hitting the gas pedal of his vehicle and nearly running over a pedestrian who was trying to talk to him. He was charged with aggravated assault and DUI.

    — Nikkia Beck, 43, of Hollidaysburg, was charged with retail theft after an incident at Giant Eagle in Altoona at the Logan Town Centre.

    — Brian Kauffman, 47, of Altoona, was pulled over for a traffic stop. He was found to have a warrant out of Bedford County as well as police discovering the vehicle he was in was reported stolen.

    — Gary Walk Jr., 55, of Altoona, was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and careless driving after a road rage incident where Logan Township police had to be called.

    Logan Township police cover the outskirts of the city of Altoona, including the Juniata and Greenwood sections.
