    2 Ohio juveniles arrested after chase in stolen car through Clearfield

    CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two juveniles from Ohio were arrested in Clearfield Monday after leading police on a vehicle chase.

    Clearfield Regional police were sent to the area of Rockton Mountain Highway in Lawrence Township at 4:43 p.m. when DuBois state police spotted a vehicle coming down the road that was reported stolen out of Ohio.

    According to a police report, the driver of the vehicle accelerated when troopers tried to stop them as they approached Clearfield. An Officer with Clearfield Regional Police joined the pursuit along West Front Street where the vehicle headed toward West Pine Street.

    The vehicle reportedly drove through several yards on the West Side of Clearfield Borough before the female driver and male passenger ran from the vehicle at the end of West 7th and Clearfield Street.

    The male juvenile was taken into custody after being chased on foot but officers were not able to capture the female juvenile. Law enforcement later found the female along West 7th Ave 45 minutes later. The juvenile female had also allegedly stolen a cell phone from a resident along West 6th Avenue while running from police.

    Police also noted in their report that a woman not involved in the pursuit was found hiding behind a truck along Nicholas Street and West 6th Avenue. She was identified and found to have arrest warrants from Clearfield County Domestics and the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office. The woman was taken to jail on her warrants.

    Both juveniles are expected to be charged by PSP DuBois, according to the Clearfield Regional Police Department.


    UPDATE: As of 6:30 p.m., all suspects were taken into custody. No more information has been released at this time.

    ORIGINAL STORY — According to the Clearfield Regional Police Department , there is a heavy police presence on the west side of the Clearfield Borough.

    The presence is due to an investigation into a stolen vehicle from Ohio, according to a post . Police also noted that all residents are being asked to secure their vehicles, residences and other structures as they are currently looking for two people. One person has already been taken into custody.
