BEDFORD, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Bedford County teenager is behind bars after authorities say he stole a PennDOT work truck following a break-in at a state office.

Jedidiah Solomon Roland, 18, of Manns Choice, was accused of entering a PennDOT facility in Juniata Township on Sept. 27 and taking the vehicle. Police said Roland admitted to the crime after being questioned.

According to the criminal complaint, a PennDOT manager reported the vehicle missing after receiving a speeding alert. The truck was tracked to Roland’s residence, where police recovered it along with items linking him to the crime. Roland later confessed to allegedly breaking into the office through an unlocked window.

Roland was arrested on Sept. 29 and charged with felony burglary, criminal trespass, and theft. His bail was set at $125,000. He remains in Bedford County Prison after being unable to post bail.
