Blair County Administrator resigns only weeks after taking position

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — Blair County’s Chief Clerk and County Administrator, Sherry Socie, resigned, county commissioners confirmed Tuesday.

After only six weeks on the job , Socie is just the latest administrator to leave following the terminations of the Human Resources Chief in May, the previous Chief Clerk and County Administrator in July and the Children, Youth and Families Director in August.

When questioned about the large turnover rate in these positions, Commissioner Dave Kessling stuck to his previous explanation: “It’s a change of culture.”

Kessling said Socie is leaving for personal reasons.
