INDIANA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Pennsylvania State Police are advising residents of Indiana that they will have an increased presence during Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s (IUP) Homecoming.

Members of Troop A, Indiana will be assisted by members of surrounding stations as well as members of the Tactical Mounted Section and Canine Unit, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and additional department resources. Specific efforts during this timeframe will include supplemental roving patrols and increased traffic enforcement activities.

“The State Police and our partners in law enforcement are committed to providing Homecoming attendees with a safe experience on the highways and at events in Indiana County. Any suspected criminal activity or safety concern can be brought to the attention of law enforcement by dialing 911,” Lieutenant Christopher J. Terrana, Station Commander, Troop A, Indiana, said.
