JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — Students at Bishop McCort Catholic Elementary will now have the opportunity to learn and experiment with the principles of flight.

The academy announced Wednesday a partnership with Nulton Aviation, Aerium Aviation, and other leaders in the Aviation workforce. The first collaboration will take place on Oct. 7 at the elementary school’s east campus where students will showcase a flight-related project.

The school featured an “Aviation for Kids” program where students learn flight principles, and related vocabulary, and participate in ongoing hands-on experimental activities. During the Oct. 7 collab, students are to build a glider carrying an egg that can fly ten feet and land safely from a height of ten feet.
