One gun shop closes, another opens in its place in Bellefonte

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) — A gun shop in Bellefonte is closing its doors, but customers won’t have to wait for long as a new one is already set to open shortly.

J&E Guns announced that their last day of business was on Saturday, Sept. 28, and Hammer Down Armament will be opening in their place.

Similar to the previous shop they’ll be selling firearms and ammunition along with hunting supplies. The shop added that they want to sell quality guns while also teaching people the right way to handle them.

“Gun safety, of course, is a top priority when you deal with firearms. We’re going to have top-notch instructors, like world-class guys, coming in here and doing all kinds of instructions for all types of levels,” Robert Bromiley, Co-Owner of Hammer Down Armament, said.

In a post , they added that in the coming months, they’ll be building up their inventory and getting their business in shape to serve their customers.

The shop hopes to be open and fully operational by Oct. 14.

J&E Guns made a post addressing the closure simply thanking customers for their patronage and explaining how customers can facilitate transfers from a previous raffle.
