Clearfield County man sentenced for conspiring to sell meth

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Clearfield County man was sentenced in federal court for conspiring to distribute meth.

Davin Gower, 30, of Morrisdale, was sentenced to 70 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, by Senior United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson. According to court documents, from Dec. 2019 to April 2020, Gower conspired to sell 500 grams or more of meth.

He was intercepted on a federal wiretap obtaining meth and he would then distribute it to others, according to United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan.

U.S. Attorney Olshan commended the Drug Enforcement Administration and Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation that led to the successful prosecution of Gower.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon on behalf of the government.
