    One dead, one in custody after shooting in Blair County

    UPDATE: Blair County Coroner Ray Benton identified the victim as 60-year-old Zachary Scott Smola of Duncansville, saying he died from a gunshot wound to the head.

    An autopsy will be performed Friday afternoon.

    The alleged suspect, who has not been identified at this time, reportedly turned himself in after the incident at state police barracks in Hollidaysburg, Allegheny Township police said.


    BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Allegheny Township Police have announced that they’re investigating a deadly shooting.

    Police confirmed that they were called to Longview Lane just after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 for a report of a fatal shooting.

    Details are limited at this time, but officers confirmed that one person has been taken into custody.
