DUBOIS, Pa. (WTAJ) — The City of DuBois announced a Fall clean-up for residents along with hydrant flushing details.

Fall clean-up for residential customers in the city will take place between Monday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 25 on their regular scheduled Waste Management pick-up day.

The city added that there should be nothing heavier than one person can lift, not tired, Freon, electronics, or yard waste, and all loose items must be bundled.

Questions should be directed to Waste Management at 1-800-338-8971.

In addition to the Fall clean-up the city’s water department will begin flushing lines in the area of Maple Avenue and Shaffer Road on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 7 a.m. and continue into the Second Ward.

Officials said the flushing will continue around the clock until the work is complete. After the Second Ward, all other wards will be flushed in the following order:

    • Fourth
    • Fifth
    • First
    • Third

Flushing should last roughly a week, officials said.
