ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — If you like to shop and try new places to eat, Altoona might be the place for you as two new businesses are making moves at Park Hills Plaza.

This big opener will be “Bealls,” taking over the old A.C. Moore store between Urban Air and Burlington, according to Pennswood Commercial Realty .

The realty company said Bealls leased the 22,900-square-foot space, joining the above-mentioned stores along with Dunham’s Sports, Harbor Freight, and Weis Markets, to name a few.

Pennswood also stated that the former Casa Valadez was leased by a pho restaurant, aptly named “Pho Restaurant.”

It’s currently unknown when either will open for business as leases have just recently been signed.

As for Bealls , the company was founded in 1915 and has been family-owned since. In 2020, the great-grandson of the founder, Matt Beall, was named CEO. A quick Google search likened the store to T.J. Maxx and Marshal’s.
