BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) – A national movement has made its way to Centre County, and it’s all for a good cause.

Nancy Saxton-Mattie has been participating in Skeletons for St. Jude for three years. It is a national campaign to raise money for kids with cancer and other illnesses.

“We like to do this just because St. Jude’s a great organization,” Saxton-Mattie said. “Everyone knows someone impacted by cancer. Any help that we can give is good.”

She decorates a portion of her yard with all sorts of skeletons. This year’s theme is the beach. It is meant to catch the eye of anyone who goes by, then when they approach, they can scan a QR code to donate directly to the cause.

“It’s a very invigorating, motivating kind of thing when you have all these people coming together for a good cause,” Saxton-Mattie said.
