ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Families United for Change is giving women in recovery a positive experience after they hosted a free pop-up clothing shop Monday at the Railroad City Cultural Center.

CC’s Boutique provided women with a chance to build their wardrobes for free while also offering free gift certificates from local businesses for their services.

“I think it is very important to do this because it helps out people in need and helps give them a fresh start and gives them a sense of care to let them know people care about them,” Volunteer Alyssa Hite said. “I know if I were in their situation, a simple conversation with someone could really help me out and give like a sense of like confidence and just know there are people out there that care for me.”
