    Two fugitives arrested in Cambria County after drug bust, face additional charges

    LOWER YODER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — Two fugitives wanted on active bench warrants were arrested Monday Oct. 14, in Cambria County after deputies found a significant amount of narcotics and a firearm during a search of their residence.

    Kara Dillon, 32, and Michael Baxter, 38, were taken into custody around 2:15 p.m. at a home on Nash Street in Lower Yoder Township, according to the Cambria County Sheriff’s office. Deputies were executing a search for the pair, who had warrants out for their arrest, when they discovered suspected narcotics, trafficking equipment, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and nearly $1,000 in cash.

    Both Dillon and Baxter are currently being held in Cambria County Prison. In addition to their existing bench warrants, they are now facing new charges related to narcotics trafficking and firearm violations. Bails for both individuals has not been set yet.

    The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed as authorities review the evidence seized from the home.
